The official opening of our Place of Contribution on Argyle Street took place on Wednesday 10th November at 4pm.
Key stakeholders, staff, and members of the community attended the event. A ribbon outside the entrance was cut to mark the official opening. Amy Butterworth, CEO of Make it Happen and Alan Evans, Director for Regeneration from Wirral Borough Council both spoke to mark the opening, highlighting the ongoing regeneration plans for Birkenhead and the focus on community. It was a lovely opportunity to bring people together at the event and connect with each other.
Members of the Board were present as well as Alice and Jenny from the National Lottery Community Fund and most importantly our community members.
The space is community led and provides various activities, working at the speed of trust as well as pay as you feel coffee made fresh from a barista machine.
